Rancho Santa Fe Event: Alice Waters Book Signing!

alice waters book signing rancho santa feOn Saturday, December 7th, Alice Waters and Kermit Lynch – two renowned chefs, authors, and food revolutionaries – will be signing books at Chino Farm in Rancho Santa Fe. Alice Waters, owner of the famous Chez Panisse restaurant in San Francisco and author of The Art of Simple Food, is well-known for being a long-time pioneer of the organic and slow food movements.  A vocal supporter of universal access to healthy, organic foods, she is also active in the public policy world, fighting for school lunch reform at the national level.  Her “Edible Schoolyard” program is responsible for creating school gardens in cities all over the US.


Waters will be signing her new book, The Art of Simple Food II, and her friend and wine Merchant, Kermit Lynch, will be signing the 25th anniversary edition of his book, Adventures on the Wine Route.


The event will last from 11am-1pm, and will also include live music by East of Echo; custom pizzas by Bottaro Woodfired Pizza; wine samples hand selected by Kermit Lynch; and beer tastings by San Diego brewery Ballast Point. The event is free to attend!  Donations may be made by attendees to the Waters’ Edible Schoolyard project, if desired.
