San Diego Symphony Summer Pops

san diego summer pops symphonyOne of my most favorite San Diego summer things to do is head down to the Embarcadero, a little peninsula behind the Convention Center adjacent to downtown, for the San Diego Symphony Summer Pops series.  For the Summer Pops, the symphony teams up with a variety of well-known artists and groups to do a series of lighthearted, fun shows, some of which will have you dancing in the aisles!  The San Diego Symphony Summer Pops takes place outdoors on the Embarcadero, where you can watch a perfect summer sunset over San Diego while sailboats pass by!  This fabulous San Diego summer activity is great fun for the whole family!

The San Diego Summer Pops begin in June and run through the beginning of September. Sections include the Grandstand, Cabaret Tables, Champagne Tables, and Lawn seating.  The season’s remaining shows include Amy Grant, Nathan Pacheco, Burt Bacharach, Michael Bolton, Music of Pixar, Cirque Music, and more!  And as always, the season goes out with a bang with a tribute to Tchaikovsky, wrapping up with the 1812 Overture, complete with fireworks AND cannons!  Tickets are available online, including Senior, Military and Student discounts.

So get out there and enjoy San Diego while the beautiful summer weather lasts!
