TWO Fun San Diego Events in November!

fun san diego events novemberMaybe the holiday season has begun for you in earnest, and maybe not – but either way, I’m sure you could use a little break from the action!  The next two weeks in San Diego will be full of great local events offering fun for the whole family.  This post will cover only two; but these fantastic San Diego annual events are some that you probably haven’t attended before!

First, the 10th annual San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival will take place November 18-24 in Downtown San Diego.  This delicious event will feature over 200 wineries, breweries and spirit purveyors, 70 of San Diego’s best restaurants, and wine and food aficionados from all over the country!  Tickets can be purchased for individual events or in packages.  And since this year is the 10th anniversary – look out! It’s going to be bigger and better than ever!

Next, free fun for the whole family: the annual Mother Goose Parade in El Cajon!  Each year this East County town kicks off the holiday season with the largest parade in San Diego County (also the largest parade of its type west of the Mississippi!).  The parade will feature more than 100 incredible parade entries from around the country; these will include motorized floats, equestrians, marching bands and drill units, clowns, special characters, celebrities and special guests, performing artists, specialty vehicles and – of course – Santa Claus!!  The Mother Goose Parade will take place Sunday, November 24th, beginning at 10am.  It will begin at Magnolia and Main St. in El Cajon, continue to N. Second St, turn north, and then end at Madison St.
